Privacy policy

Lemnly is a product of Sooties LLC. This is the plain-language summary of how the service handles your data. The formal text follows the same intent — if anything is unclear, please ask at hello@sooties.com.

What we collect

• Your email address (used as your login).
• The decks, cards, tags, notes and review history you create.
• The text of the sources you import (URLs, EPUB, DOCX, plain text, photos, voice notes). Source text is retained as long as it’s useful to your import preview, then discarded; we only keep the cards you chose to add.
• Basic, anonymised usage metrics (page views, errors).

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell data. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
• We don’t train AI models on your library.
• We don’t share your decks with other learners unless you explicitly publish them.

The shared vocabulary cache

When Lemnly labels a new lemma in a given language, the gloss is stored in a shared cache keyed by (language, lemma). The cache is purely linguistic — it never includes your books, your decks, or any identifier connected to you.

AI processing

Labelling is performed by Anthropic’s Claude (Haiku tier). Only the lemmas that aren’t already in the shared cache are sent. Anthropic does not retain the requests for training under our agreement.

Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies.

Data export and deletion

You can export your library as CSV at any time from your account settings. You can delete your account from the same place — deletions are permanent and propagate within 30 days.
